21.11.2004 In Alfa Romeo's illustrious history, the Ti badge is reserved for those cars which received a more finely honed sporting edge at minimal extra cost, now the famous designation has returned to Australia

In Alfa Romeo's illustrious sporting and performance history, the Ti badge stands for Turismo Internazionale and it was reserved for those cars to which Alfa Romeo gave a more finely honed sporting edge at minimal extra cost.

Alfa Romeo Australia has taken this historic badge and further refined it: A more finely honed sporting edge at no extra cost, with the Alfa Romeo 156 Ti now available at the same recommended retail price - $49,950 - as the normal Alfa Romeo 156 JTS for a limited time.

The Alfa Romeo 156 Ti gains a unique style of 17 inch alloy wheels, up from the standard 16 inch wheels, shod with extra-grippy low profile tyres.

Inside the standard upholstery is replaced by news sports leather upholstery which is wrapped around body hugging front sports seats for more enthusiastic driving.

Completing the interior package is a unique thick-rimmed racing style leather steering wheel.

The Alfa Romeo 156 Ti is powered by the renowned 2.0 litre JTS engine that produces not just 121 kW and 206 Nm of torque, but also a rich aural sound track to accompany every drive. It powers the Alfa Romeo 156 Ti to 100 kmh in 8.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 220 kmh.
