13.01.2004 NEW BODY STYLING KIT FOR THE LANCIA YPSILON BREAKS COVER AT THE BRUSSELS MOTOR SHOW

Lancia Ypsilon featuring a new bodykit at the Brussels International Motor ShowLancia have revealed a rapid new styling upgrade for the new Ypsilon at the 82nd Brussels International Motor Show which opened its doors to the press this morning.

This revision of the new Ypsilon, the first of its kind, features and additional lip spoiler below the front bumper, side skirts which run from wheel to wheel, and a roofline spoiler which mounts along the top of the tailgate.

The new body kit, which gives the Ypsilon a more squat and aggressive appearance, is colour coded on the jet black version being shown at the long running Belgian show. The rear roofline lip spoiler, mounted at either end on the tailgate, curves over the high level brake light, to give a 'sporty' feel to the model's tail. Overall this mild cosmetic tweaking enhances the appearance of this pretty model.

The enhanced Ypsilon takes pride of place on the Lancia stand, mounted on a large revolving turntable, A strong line-up from the 'pocket flagship' here emphasises the importance of the new Ypsilon to Lancia's long-term plans in Belgium.

This Ypsilon is joined in Brussels by four other examples of Lancia new small car, which was first seen in public at last March's Geneva Motor Show. Two versions featuring the 70 bhp 1.3-litre 16v Multijet in cream and metallic red are complimented by two more offering the 1.2-litre 8v petrol power plant in metallic colours, grey and blue.
