The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti at the Detroit Motor Show

Ferrari announced at the Detroit Motor Show this week that all cars sold in the USA during the year will come with a special badge to commemorate the marque's fifty years of exposure to this key market.

The badge will offer the traditional black prancing horse Ferrari logo laid over a yellow background and incorporate the stars and stripes from the US flag.

In Detroit Ferrari celebrated a record number cars sold in North America during the last year, building on a decade of consecutive sales increases. Emphasising the importance of this market to the specialist sportscar builder, their new 2+2 Coupe, the 5.75-litre V12-engined 612 Scaglietti, became the first Ferrari ever to receive its official World Premiere in the United States.
