20.02.2004 SIGNIFICANT NEW MODELS AND DEVELOPMENTS FROM FERRARI AND MASERATI IN GENEVA

The Ferrari-Maserati Group are heading for next month's Geneva Motor Show with a with a raft of exciting new cars and developments from both brands in the pipeline.

Ferrari will give their new 2+2 Coupe, the 612 Scaglietti, its European debut at the Swiss show. This stunning 540bhp 5.75-litre V12 replacement for the 456GT, received its World Premiere at last month's North American Auto Show in Detroit.

The 612 Scaglietti, which draws its name from one of the marque's most famous craftsmen, will be joined on stand 1053 by the 360 Modena, the 360 Spider, the Challenge Stradale and the 575M Maranello.

Regarding the front engined, rear wheel drive 575M, Ferrari are promising that "significant news on the development of this car will be announced" during the show.

Meanwhile Maserati will take the wraps off the MC 12, the road going version of the Ferrari Enzo based MCC Sportscar. A production run of just 25 of these 6.0-litre V12 cars will be built, the minimum number sufficient to allow it to receive FIA homologation.

The Trident marque will also give a World Premiere to the GrandSport, which is according to them "a significant, edgier development of the Coupe."
