Lamborghini's latest model, the Murciélago Roadster, is one of the show stoppers at the MPH04 Motor Show in London this weekend.

Presented by H.R. Owen, who count Lamborghini in their bulging portfolio of prestige brands, the Murciélago Roadster is prominently displayed, joined on their stand by the Murciélago Coupe and the Gallardo.

First shown as a concept car in 2003 in Detroit, where it generated significant interest among Italian supercar enthusiasts, the production version of the Murciélago Roadster made its official debut in Geneva earlier this year. With the Roadster now going into production, MPH04 is the ideal venue in which to showcase it to prospective buyers.

The dark painted Roadster appears very sleek, due to its low windscreen and side windows. Close attention has been paid to the redesigned engine cover, covered roll-over bars and finishing trims which give the Roadster a clear, tidy look, keeping it away from the 'Coupe with a chopped off roof' effect that is so often projected by roadsters.

The latest arrival at the House of the Raging Bull takes its inspiration from the great Italian tradition of open vehicles. As powerful, fast and extreme as the Coupé version from which it derives, the Lamborghini Murciélago carries on Lamborghini’s twelve cylinder roadster tradition: from the 350 GTS to the Miura Roadster, right up to the most recent Diablo Roadster.

This has been achieved without compromising the performance expected from a real Lamborghini. Thanks to accurate design, the open version also delivers excellent handling, acceleration and driving safety characteristics. The Murciélago Roadster version builds on the extreme and exclusive features of the Coupé thus confirming it as a real “icon” of the Lamborghini brand.

The new Lamborghini era started in 2001 with the Murciélago, followed in 2003 by the Gallardo, and continues with the arrival this year of the Murciélago Roadster, which enhances and further increases the undisputed value of the Murciélago range.

Judging by the prominence that H.R. Owen, who are also the 'official' dealer of MPH04, have given to the new Roadster, as well as the fixed-roof Murciélago and Gallardo, they are expecting to see strong interest being generated here, in the marque's products.

A yellow V12 Murciélago Coupe, and an orange V10 Gallardo line-up next to the Roadster. Meanwhile in the 'Live Action' arena, H.R. Owen have provided a second yellow Gallardo, as well as one of the jade-green limited edition Murclago '40th Anniversary' models to perform in front of the show's visitors.
