09.01.2004 FERRARI LEAD OUT A RECREATED F1 GRID AT THE AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL RACING CAR SHOW

Minardi-Cosworth on the Autosport International F1 Racing grid

One of the main attractions at the Autosport International racing car show in Birmingham which opened yesterday is replicated F1 Racing Grid.

This display, which has grown in popularity since its inception, offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in some pre-season fever with this authentic recreation of the a typical grid formation as would be seen at the start of an F1 Grand Prix.

All the F1 teams are represented on the grid, led out by Michael Schumacher's 2003 World Championship winning Ferrari F2003-GA. Italian interested on the grid is supplemented by Faenza based Minardi, who have brought one of last year's Cosworth-powered PS03 chassis and the the Swiss Sauber-Petronas, which is powered by re-badged Ferrari engines. The grid is completed by cars from Williams, McLaren, Toyota, Jaguar, Jordan, BAR and Renault.

Along with F1 cars, tyre warmers and even amplified noise aim to give visitors an idea of what it feels like to walk down the grid.
