Pepsi-Cola, the multinational drinks company, has ordered 600 commercial vehicles from Fiat for its fleet in Spain, split between the Doblò and Punto Van.

The firm, who have just taken first deliveries, chose the Fiat Doblò and the Punto Van due to their proven reliability, low long-term operating costs and their in-built characteristic Italian style.

All the vehicles will come fitted with the revolutionary 70bhp 1.3 Multijet 16 v diesel engine, that makes full use of second generation 'common-rail' diesel technology. The compact nature of this engine, coupled with the sophisticated nature of the technology, means that the engine can offer performance cycle figures as optimal as 5.5-litres of diesel used per 100 kilometers. Pepsi-Cola were also impressed by the 'long life' maintenance cycle, which greatly cuts running costs.
