28.06.2005 Italian design and prototyping company Stola has announced the opening of a new North American studio in Ferndale, Michigan

Stola NA, a division of Stola S.p.a., has announced the opening of a new North American studio on June 24, 2005.

This North American facility is located in Ferndale, Michigan, an upscale art and design community centrally located in the Detroit, Michigan area. This studio houses the most current digital design tools, engineering and feasibility competencies and traditional prototype building tools. This state of the art studio carries forward the idea that unique things grow out of unique spaces. This studio is like no other in the Detroit area. Designed by Van Tine Guthrie and built by Sterling Millworks, it incorporates many types of material and textures to create a space that fosters innovation and creativity while maintaining the importance of confidentiality.

"This event is the positive conclusion of a combination of the well recognized professional capability of Stola S.p.a. and the creativity and talent of Ken Grant and Michael Check," says Mr. Teresio Pirra, V.P. The opening of the studio coincided with the launch of the 18th Annual Eyes of Design Charity Weekend. Stola NA  hosted the 'Eve of the Eyes' party at the new studio on Friday, June 24th.
