Alfa Romeo was one of the famous marques to be featured at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Eleganza - held at Monterey in California - and as such seven important awards were devoted by the organisers entirely to the historic Italian 'sporty' brand.

In fact more than sixty - mostly very significant - Alfa Romeo cars from through the firm's history turned up for the highly prestigious event this year, and crowing a excellent showing for the Milanese carmaker, a further seven of the special trophies available were also claimed by Alfa Romeo. Rounding out the amazing line-up at Pebble Beach was a first ever public presentation of the 8c Spider - built almost two years ago - and a concept car that had never seen before.
