No less than three examples of the exciting new Alfa Brera headlined 'La Dolce Vita' - a major Italian 'lifestyle' show held in London last weekend - just three weeks before the stunning new Giugiaro-styled sportscar is officially launched in the UK dealerships.

This very high-profile public appearance followed quickly on from the presentation of the Alfa Brera at the Autosport International show at the Birmingham NEC in January, and it was the first time that the British public was able view the award-winning sportscar in right hand drive format, before it goes on sale across the UK in mid-April. Styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro in collaboration with Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, the design of the new Brera remains faithful to the stunning coupe concept which was first shown to great acclaim at the 2002 Geneva International Motor Show. Giugiaro recalls, "When we premiered the car I referred to as 'very sexy', I didn't know if it would ever go beyond the prototype stage. I'm proud to note that the Brera is so obviously an Italian product. Alfa Romeo will never go out of fashion."

La Dolce Vita, the Italian Festival held in the heart of West London, aims to create the ultimate Italian experience in The Grand Hall, at Olympia. This year the show ran from 16th-19th March 2006. This event is the original, authentic Italian experience in the UK.

This year the La Dolce Vita created an even greater impact with its winning combination of sensational dishes by celebrity chefs, inspirational travel destinations, hidden property treasures, stunning Italian designs and its central Piazza buzzing with Italian culture and lifestyle. New for 2006 was the La Dolce Vita Wine Festival which brought together 40 wine producers from Italy offering visitors the opportunity to sample the best wines that Italy has to offer and maybe even buy a bottle or two to take home! In addition, wine education classes, 'hands on' cooking classes, property seminars, interactive Italian regions along with a fresh food market place capture the wonderful flavours of Italy under one roof.

A third 3.2 V6 Q4 Brera was positioned outside the hall caching attention as visitors approached the halls.

"Following the excellent response we received during our initial involvement at the La Dolce Vita show last year, it was wholly logical to step up our involvement this year," commented an Alfa Romeo spokesperson. "This lifestyle show attracts an wide audience of people who have a very strong affinity with our brand values, and we had a huge response from the show which we we're really delighted with. In fact we took more than 600 very positive leads over the three days.

"Obviously the Alfa Brera was the star, it being the first chance Londoners have had to examine the new car up close and we had quite a number of visitors drop by who have already ordered it, but had not yet been able to see it in the flesh. I think this really demonstrates just how much excitement this new sportscar has already generated. But, beside the Brera, interest was very strong right across the Alfa Romeo range: we received serious feedback for the new Alfa 159, the GT Coupé and in particular the Alfa 147," the spokesperson added.

The new Alfa Brera was accompanied on the Milanese brand's stand at La Dolce Vita by their brand new sports saloon, the Alfa 159, shown in 2.2 JTS Lusso specification, and which was recently launched in the UK, with the full range priced from £19,995 - £28,195.
