25.10.2006 MANGOLETSI WILL SHOWCASE ALFA ROMEO MODELS AT MPH06

Mangoletsi, the UK’s largest and longest-established authorised Alfa Romeo dealership, are pleased to announce that they will be present at the MPH06 Motor Show when it opens to the public at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham tomorrow (Thursday) evening. Mangoletsi will present two highly popular models from the exciting Alfa Romeo sports range: the Alfa 159 1.9 JTDM and Alfa GT 1.9 JTDM, as well as the new Autodelta Brera J5 3.2C, for the duration of the motor show, which runs from 26th-29th October.

This has been one of the most important years for the Knutsford, Cheshire-located dealership, whose 39-year history has been driven forward by a deep rooted passion and enthusiasm for the Alfa Romeo brand, values which have generated unrivalled knowledge and unmatched levels of customer service. The recent arrival of the “new generation” of Alfa Romeo models: the Alfa 159, 159 Sportwagon and Brera (soon to be joined by the Spider) have opened up an exciting new era for both Alfa Romeo, and by its association, for Mangoletsi.

“The ‘new breed’ of Alfa Romeo models have been a roaring success for us, they have at a stroke revitalized the enthusiasm of our long-term customers, while at the same time, bringing many new faces into our showroom,” says Managing Director Fraser Hudson. “To mark this important step forward for Mangoletsi we decided it was simply the ideal time to participate in MPH06, one of the fastest growing motor shows in the UK, and one which has quickly captured the public’s imagination. The MPH concept is all about sporty, exclusive and desirable cars, attributes that have always applied to Alfa Romeo.”

Mangoletsi will present two important models, the Alfa 159 1.9 JTDM and GT 1.9 JTDM Coupé, during the show’s tenure in Birmingham. “These cars really epitomize the spirit of Alfa Romeo,” says Sales Executive Craig Aspin, “they simply breathe the core values of the brand: evocative Italian styling and a refined sporty spirit, perfectly fused with blistering performance, dynamic chassis’, class-leading technology and unmatched active and passive safety features. Demand for the new turbodiesel Alfa 159 is going from strength to strength while the gorgeous Bertone-styled GT continues to be a hugely popular coupé, an individual car for the buyer who demands exclusivity,” adds Craig.

To mark the occasion of their participation at MPH06 Mangoletsi are very pleased to be able offer prospective car buyers’ several special ‘show’ offers. These include a ‘drive away’ price of £19,995 (including road fund license) for the Alfa GT 1.9 JTDM Coupé, fitted with 18-inch factory alloy wheels and full leather interior; and £14,995 for the Alfa 147 1.9 JTD 16v 150 bhp in ‘Lusso’ specification, also boasting a full leather interior. Both models are available for immediate delivery and further details can be obtained from the dealership or from the Mangoletsi dealer staff who will be on hand at MPH06.

Alongside these two models, will be a third Alfa Romeo – but one with a real difference. Mangoletsi was recently appointed as official supplier of new vehicles to Autodelta for their research and development programme. Both firms are well established, have strong reputations for dedicated customer service, and are at the pinnacle of their respective segments, making them a perfect ‘fit’. Emphasising this new partnership, the 340bhp Autodelta Brera J5 3.2C will be presented by Mangoletsi at MPH06 on the occasion of its British Motor Show, and world public, debut.

The philosophy behind MPH is simple: the organisers bring together a collection of the world's most desirable cars, display them beautifully and bring them to life in a unique theatre hosted by the world-renowned TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson, together with James May. Now an established major event in the UK motoring calendar, MPH takes place in two venues, London's Earls Court and Birmingham's NEC. Amongst the feast of exotica on show will be the fearsome 806 bhp Koenigsegg CCX, the exotic 7.3 litre Pagani Zonda F and the ludicrously fast Caparo T1, which packs a staggering 1000 bhp/ton punch.

Mangoletsi are pleased to announce that they will be present at the MPH06 Motor Show when it opens to the public at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham tomorrow (Thursday) evening.

The centrepiece 75-minute “theatre” experience, costing more than £1m to stage, will include everything from flying caravans to high-speed 3D Apache helicopter chases. BBC TV Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson (who famously described the Autodelta 147 GTA AM 3.7 as “the world’s fastest hot hatch – ever”) along with co-presenter James May and friends will host the unique live show as usual. Mangoletsi will also be present when MPH06 moves on to London the following week (2nd-5th November) at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre. In London Mangoletsi will present an Alfa 159 1.9 JTDM on the stand of Autodelta.

Knutsford-based Mangoletsi is the country’s largest, and longest-established, authorised Alfa Romeo and Fiat dealership. Its Managing Director, Fraser Hudson, is understandably proud of the company’s success. “Everyone who works at Mangoletsi is passionate about the product we represent, and I think our enthusiasm is infectious, because once a customer buys an Alfa Romeo or Fiat from us, they seem to fall in love with their car,” explains Fraser. “It’s a joy to be working with such a premier motor manufacturer because we are able to offer a classic and sophisticated brand with a long heritage, which we know our customers love.”

Many Mangoletsi customers return to the dealership whenever they decide to replace their car. “We have clients who have been buying cars from us for over thirty years. I feel honored that they value and trust us,” says Fraser, who believes Mangoletsi has established an enviable reputation. “We pride ourselves on knowing the product inside out, so the knowledge of our staff is incredible. My after-sales manager, Ken Buckley, has been with the company for 34 years, my senior deputy parts manager, Roy Jeffries, has been with us for 35 years, and my top technician, Nigel Lawton is often consulted by the Alfa Romeo technical team in Italy.”

“We’ve achieved a great deal over the 39 years we’ve been here, and we’ve built up an enviable reputation,” says Fraser, who is Vice Chairman of the Alfa Romeo Dealer Association, with responsibility for representing all Alfa Romeo dealerships throughout Great Britain. “We also represent the UK at Alfa Romeo conferences in Italy,” he adds. “We’re often asked to get involved, and offer our opinions on certain design aspects of new models, and we get to see cars well in advance of their release dates. So it helps enormously that I know what is going on in the industry, and I’m able to steer the business in the right direction.” Today Mangoletsi is facing its biggest challenge so far as the revival of the Alfa Romeo brand in the UK gets seriously underway with the arrival of the ‘new breed’ of Alfa Romeos: the 159, 159 Sportwagon, Brera and Spider. “The new cars epitomise the Alfa Romeo brand totally,” concludes Fraser, “and demand has been strong and instantaneous.”

Mangoletsi will be present at MPH06 from 26th-29th October at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, Hall 5, Stand No S03; and from 2nd-5th November on the Autodelta stand at Earls Court, London, in Earls Court 1, Stand No S21. Mangoletsi staff will be on hand at both shows to discuss the car and answer any questions. For more information please visit www.mangoletsi.com
