Exclusive Italian supercar maker Automobili Pagani has joined a growing trend by the prestige brands towards retailing non-automotive products in their image, unveiling its state-of-the-art carbon fibre-clothed H-Fi system. Born with the task of offering an high quality audio system, complete, not too big and with a design and quality of finishing that make it right for every style of furniture.

Exclusive Italian supercar maker Automobili Pagani has joined a growing trend by the prestige brands towards retailing non-automotive products in their image, unveiling its state-of-the-art carbon fibre-clothed H-Fi system. The Hi-fi system is completely projected and handmade in Italy with high quality components.

Already Ferrari has leveraged its market-leading brand name extensively to a vast range of non-automotive products, while Italian rival Lamborghini is anxious to enter the fray, announcing plans earlier this month in Geneva to open its first retail store, choosing Las Vegas as the location. Maserati also has a growing range of non-automotive products, as do many non-Italian brands, including Bentley and Aston Martin.

Now comes Pagani with its unique Hi-Fi system. Born with the task of offering an high quality audio system, complete, not too big and with a design and quality of finishing that make it right for every style of furniture.

Equipment are separated: LP turntable, CD player, preamplifier, power amplifier, loudspeakers and wires.

Its task is that of giving music for room from 12 square metres until 40-50 square metres, leaving people listening music with many real details for every music genre, using “state of the art” technology available today. It’s useful also connected to a dvd player to make movie a really involving experience, but to make it multichannel or DTS it musts be completed with other power amplifiers and loudspeakers available on request to Pagani Automobili.

Hi-Fi stereo system is composed of:

- Analog turntable for LP for 33rpm and 45rpm
- CD player with D/A converter
- Stereo preamplifier
- Power amplifier
- Floor standing loudspeakers
- Cables: segnal, loudspeaker and power

LP turntable for 33rpm and 45 rpm:

- Analogue turntable is a really sensible equipment to vibration. For this reason, to have the best performance, we decided of using advanced and particular technical solutions. Starting from project to choosing the right materials, every small details was done in the best way to have an amazing sound performance. Aluminium part connecting base to preamplifier are with special shape and with anti-vibration treatment, the plate is done in special material and with a surface to have the best contact with LP, thanks also to the sharpless ends clamp to avoid bad resonance in Nyquist’s range.
- The hinge we decided to project is one of the few in the world that uses magnetic suspension to separate the turntable’s plate from the main base. The hinge is done in hardened steel to prevent damage due to the friction with ear-ring. These two parts require the best and maximum mechanical precision. Lubricating is composed by Teflon and lithium to reduce at minimum dynamic friction to permit electric conductivity to discharge electrostatic tension.
- Rotation is given to the plate by the electric engine with rubber belt, insulated from turntable’s chassis and realized with 4 small synchronized engines in parallel configuration to increase torque and precision of rotating speed and it’s possible rotating speed from 33rpm to 45rpm changing position of the belt on the engine’s pulley.
- Tone arm is a SME IV with magnesium cane, one of the finest world’s tone arm, cabled in copper Litz cable.
- Phono cartridge is done by Ortophon, chosen for its great musicality and quality.
- Phono preamplifier is done with quality components.
- All cables used are handmade twisted copper Litz cables.
- Transformer is handmade and glued in epoxidic resin inside iron box to shield

CD Player:

- CD mechanic used is the famous CDM PRO 2B, the best digital mechanic of the world, guaranteed for 30.000 hours of work.
- The hinge is custom made and the clamp is done with particular shape and material to avoid resonance.
- Digital connection from mechanic to DAC is in I4S standard.
- Digital to Analogue Converter is projected for this stereo equipment and it uses 4DSP by Burr Brown 24bit, 96kHz in parallel for channel and all pcb boards are handmade.
- Single power supply for DAC and for digital mechanic.
- All cables for digital and analogue pcb are handmade twisted copper Litz cable.
- Transformers are handmade and glued in epoxidic resin inside iron box to shield electromagnetic fields and separated from chassis with silent blocks.

Preamplifier:

- Realised with high quality components and handmade built, it’s different from normal equipment thanks its musicality, dynamic and impressive frequency range from 3Hz to 3MHz. Single ended building.
- Completely done with discrete components circuit without operationals.
- Segnal cables are in handmade twisted copper Litz cable.
- Power supply tension is 15V, max output segnal tension 2V.
- Transformers are handmade and glued in epoxidic resin inside iron box to shield electromagnetic fields and separated from chassis with silent blocks.
- Case is done in top quality carbon fibre handmade by Pagani Automobili.

Power amplifier:

- Completely handmade with discrete components circuit without operationals. Single ended built.
- Different from the normal equipment for higher musicality and “live” dynamic.
- Realized with many high quality capacitors to increase speed and dynamic.
- 6 transistor TO3 for channel.
- 2 transformers for channel for preamplifier circuit and power circuit glued in epoxidic resin inside iron box to shield electromagnetic fields and separated from chassis with silent blocks.
- Continuous power 150W on 8Ohm, 2000W peak power.
- Internal segnal cables and loudspeaker cables are handmade twisted copper Litz cable.
- Case is done in top quality carbon fibre handmade by Pagani Automobili.

Floor standing Loudspeakers:

- To have great dynamic, a good power resistance and a good bass deepness we decided to do a floor standing loudspeaker.
- Loudspeakers are 3 and half ways: woofer for bass frequencies with carbon fibre cone, midwoofer with carbon fibre, high quality ribbon tweeter, ribbon Supertweeter.
- Cabinet is done in top quality carbon fibre handmade by Pagani Automobili with many reinforced parts and covered with anti-vibration materials to avoid carbon fibre resonances and distortion.
- Front panel in aluminium 20mm thick, covered in anti-vibration materials.
- Case charged “bass reflex” with 4 different long tubes, following Zonda’s exhaust tubes but with technical background, not only style.
- Panel with connectors: connectors for high frequencies and low frequencies for bi-wiring connection and with XLR connector to connect LED with RGB multicolour technology.
- Frequency range: 30hz-90kHz, sensitivity 91dB, long term power 200W, short term power 350W.

Signal, loudspeaker and power cables:

- All cables wires used are handmade twisted copper Litz cable, proprietary technology of Delta Sigma.
- Thanks to their particular structure and choosing high quality copper, wires have a really good frequencies’ response and a really natural sound.
