FIAT SCUDO

Fiat has defied the falling New Zealand dollar to give business some good news – it’s now NZ$7,000 less to get into the Fiat Scudo van which is available in a myriad of versions and sizes to suit local conditions and market requirements.

Fiat has defied the falling New Zealand dollar to give businesses in New Zealand some good news – it’s now NZ$7,000 less to get into the award winning Fiat Scudo van.

“We thought it was time to ignore the doom and gloom and give New Zealand business some good news,” says Lawrie Malatios, General Manager for Fiat in New Zealand. “So we have decided to ignore the falling dollar and cut the price of the Fiat Scudo to NZ$39,990. But with the Fiat Scudo, that’s just the beginning of the savings as with its advanced turbo diesel engine, low maintenance technology and the legendary reliability and durability on which Fiat commercial vehicles have built their reputation, the Fiat Scudo is one investment that is going to continue make a life-long profit for its owners!”

Like the Ducato, the Scudo is available in a myriad of versions and sizes, allowing Fiat New Zealand to pick a variant that is ideal for local conditions and market requirements. Powered by an advanced Turbo Diesel 2.0 litre 88 kW engine with a six speed gearbox, the New Zealand market Scudo has a standard roof and a long wheelbase body, to provide maximum space and accessibility to space-deficient loading areas. At the same time, with a six cubic metre load space and a 1200 kg payload accessible through rear barn doors and twin sliding side doors, the Fiat Scudo offers unrivalled accessibility.

Included in its new price of NZ$39,990 is a wide range of standard equipment, including essential safety features such as driver’s airbag and ABS brakes with EBD; the convenience of electric front windows, twin mode central locking and electric mirrors and the comfort of powerful air conditioning, full size cloth-covered front seats and a spacious, comfortable cab that is designed as the ideal working environment.

“Through two generations, the Fiat Ducato has built a legion of fans in New Zealand thanks to its durability, reliability and design integrity, as well as its comprehensive equipment and value for money,” says Mr Malatios. “The Fiat Scudo, the latest in a long line of vehicles that have dominated CV sales in Europe, brings everything that has been learnt with the Ducato to the market in a van that is equally capable and well designed, offering excellent value for money and designed for a long, long cost service life. With an additional NZ$7000 saving, could there be a better investment for a business into today’s difficult economic climate?”
