LANCIA YPSILON ANGELS AND DEMONS
LANCIA DELTA ANGELS AND DEMONS
LANCIA YPSILON ANGELS AND DEMONS

To make the dualism of Lancia and a long association with the cinema very “visible” the brand will present in Geneva next week the Delta, Musa and Ypsilon featuring novel coloured bodywork comprising a white body and gloss black roof. The relationship between Lancia and the cinema is very close and goes back to the start of the 20th century. For more than a century, numerous films of all genres, from comedy to drama, have made use of Lancia's cars, often making them an integral part of the screenplay.

The current range too has featured in both Italian and foreign works. For example, the latest creation, the Delta, was launched internationally with an advertisement which was more than an advertisement: it was a genuine “mini-feature”, with an actor of the caliber of Richard Gere and a soundtrack composed by a master of the genre in Ennio Morricone.

In addition, the new Lancia Delta has been recently 'signed up' for the new blockbuster from Columbia Sony Pictures Angels and Demons, a film based on the bestseller of the same name by Dan Brown and which is a follow-up to The Da Vinci Code, also directed by Ron Howard and with Tom Hanks in the role of Professor Langdon.

The participation of Delta in the film seems natural as it summarizes the characteristics of the Lancia range: “Angels for emissions and Demons for performance”. In this sense, then, it is possible to see a very strong parallel between the dualism expressed in the title of the film and the characteristics we find in the cars in the Lancia range – Delta, Musa and Ypsilon – whose advanced engines (1.9 litre 190 HP Twinturbo Multijet, 1.3 liter 95 HP Multijet and 1.3 liter 105 HP Multijet) are at the top of their respective categories for low C02 emissions and the high power delivered.

And to make this dualism “visible”, Lancia is presenting the Delta, Musa and Ypsilon with a novel coloured bodywork with a white body and gloss black roof. The internal environment is also black, Airtex for Ypsilon and Musa while the Delta interior is in leather and “Sportivo” Alcantara®. In addition to the dual colour scheme, the three cars share a wealth of equipment including climate control, fog lights, radio and CD/MP3 player, leather steering wheel with radio controls, Blue&Me and alloy rims.
