05.05.2011 FIAT 500 PICKS UP TWO AWARDS IN TEXAS

Members of the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) have voted the Fiat 500 as Best Value and Best New Design at the 2011 TAWA Spring Roundup hosted at the Texas Motor Speedway. The Fiat 500 when home having received two of the competitions eight awards.

"At its first TAWA Spring Roundup competition, the Fiat brand surprised us by delivering one of the fiercest and most praised vehicle entries," said Michael Herzing, President – TAWA and publisher of LetsTalkWheels.com. "Winning both 'Best Value' and 'Best New Design' titles this year was no easy feat. With more than 50 competitor vehicles to pick from, not one could match the Fiat 500's unique combination of Italian design, cool personalization features and fun-to-drive dynamics for the overall value."

The 2011 Spring Roundup event was held on May 2 at Texas Motor Speedway and featured more than 50 vehicles from various manufacturers, all vying for a top award from more than 50 of the TAWA journalists in attendance.
