At this month's Bologna Motor Show Fiat presented its most recent addition to the range, the Freemont, the first Chrysler Group model to be rebadged by the Italian company. Fiat said at the show that the Freemont has gained 18,000 orders between May, when it went on sale, and November.

Following its inclusion in the Dow Jones World and Europe Sustainability Indexes and its addition to the Global 500 Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index as well as the Carbon Performance Leadership Index, Fiat S.p.A. has now become a member of the ASPI Eurozone index.

This latest recognition of the Fiat Group’s sustainability performance embellishes further its commitment to society and the environment and its attempts to integrate this strategy with its financial objectives and business approach.

The ASPI Eurozone index includes the 120 best companies in the Eurozone selected on the basis of research conducted by VIGEO, a European organisation that assesses companies based on their social, environmental and governance practice and performance. The six areas that are analysed are: environment, human rights, human resources, business behaviour, community involvement and corporate governance.

The Advanced Sustainability Performance Eurozone Index ("ASPI Eurozone") is recognised as one of the leading mainland European sustainability indexes and is as such it is used by the growing community of socially responsible investors to define sustainable investment universes, to benchmark their investment performance or to create index-linked products.
