Fiat is improving the mix of available equipment, trim and personalisation options as well as paint finishes for the Model Year 2018 version of the 500X while also renaming and refocusing the specification level names.

Fiat is tweaking the mix of available equipment, trim and personalisation options as well as paint finishes for the Model Year 2018 version of the 500X while also renaming and refocusing the specification level names.

The upgrades kicks off with Uconnect HD Live, featuring a high-resolution 7" touchscreen, which will now be available across the entire range, from the Pop Star trim level up. The system offers Apple CarPlay, the smarter, safer way to use an iPhone in car. Uconnect 7'' HD Live is also compatible with Android Auto. This completes the offer of these functions on the entire 500 family.

For the first time, the Donatello Bronze and Alpi Matte Green colours - previously only available on S-Design models - will be available across the range.

The two general directions of this wider model range will now be better understood on the 500X through the application of new names to improve differentiation. The 500X, which is city consumer focused, is called "Urban Look" and it's available in the Pop, Pop Star and Lounge trim levels, and the crossover version, is called "Cross Look", with the Cross and City Cross versions. These changes are in step with those across the wider 500 family and first seen on the new 500L.

Finally, the range of personalisation options has been further extended with the launch of new specific packs available on demand. According to the country, the packs bring together the accessories most suited to different customer needs, emphasising the style, connectivity, comfort and safety of the Fiat 500X Model Year 2018, in addition to guaranteeing considerable saving compared to purchasing the accessories one by one.

Uconnect 7" HD LIVE

Fiat 500X Model Year 2018 offers next-generation Uconnect with 7" high-resolution touchscreen, which is compatible with smartphone integrations. More in detail, the sophisticated device stands out for the Bluetooth interface with hands-free system, audio streaming, text message reader and voice recognition, Aux and USB port with iPod integration and controls on the steering wheel. Rear parking camera and new TomTom 3D integrated navigation system are available on demand.

Furthermore, customers can stay in touch with Uconnect LIVE services. Users who download the free Uconnect LIVE app from the App Store or Google Play Store to their smartphone can fully exploit the benefits of Uconnect LIVE, including music streaming with Deezer and TuneIn, news from Reuters, connected navigation with TomTom LIVE and can stay in touch with friends via Facebook Check-in and Twitter. They can also benefit from the savings, eco-friendliness and monitoring functions wherever they choose to go with eco:Drive and my:Car.

The Uconnect system is now also available with Apple CarPlay. Apple CarPlay is the key for smart, safe, user-friendly iPhone use at the wheel. In detail, it integrates the iPhone perfectly with the display and native controls of the car. Now, you can make calls, play your music, send and receive messages, get directions optimised for traffic conditions and much more, while staying focused on the road. Android Auto gives you useful information organised on simple screens which only appear when necessary. The function offers access to Google Maps, with voice-guided navigation, real time traffic information and lane guidance and Google Play Music and many other music services. You can make and receive calls and send messages while keeping your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.
