Alfa Romeo will roll out the famous ‘Ti’ acronym onto the new Giulia sedan range in Europe as in Geneva next week it will present a Giulia Veloce, the highest performance sub-Quadrifoglio version, on its stand that’s now equipped and badged to Ti specification.

The Ti badge has already been applied by Alfa Romeo in the U.S. market to the entry level Giulia model to give it a bit of extra kick.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce Ti that’s being shown at the Swiss motor show will be equipped with the 280 hp turbo petrol power unit (the ‘Veloce’ level also comes with the option of a 2.2-litre diesel engine) and that’s combined with the 8-speed automatic transmission and Q4 all-wheel drive.

The time-honoured code ‘Ti’, which is short for ‘Turismo Internazionale’, is traditionally reserved for models versions in the range that come with the highest specification of trim and equipment.

The Giulia Ti on show in Geneva will be presented in ‘Racing Red’ livery and with its new features, visually it will become a very near sister to the Quadrifoglio, now benefitting from many of the range-toppers styling details.

The visual upgrades include the addition of the black roof option, a new leather-clad dashboard with carbon inserts as well as leather and Alcantara seats with black stitching. These key styling features come along with carbon detailing trims from Mopar, such as the backlit kick plates with Alfa Romeo logo, the ‘V’ of the front cloverleaf, gear knob insert and rear-view mirror caps.

The Giulia Veloce Ti also gains the side skirts with carbon inserts and rear spoiler from the Quadrifoglio as well as 19-inch burnished alloy 5-spoke wheels. The car on show will have red brake callipers.

Inside, as standard, comes the Alfa Connect 3D infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as the 8.8-inch 3D navigation system with DAB, active cruise control, tinted windows and the Harman Kardon premium audio package.

On the booth in Geneva next week the new Giulia Veloce Ti will be shown alongside a Giulia Super painted in Volcano Black with a new ‘Luxury Pack’ option that comprises of a unique beige leather interior with real grey oak wood inserts.

This car will have 18-inch alloy wheels with black finished brake callipers while under the bonnet will be the 200 hp supercharged four-cylinder petrol engine with automatic transmission.
