The “Novo Uno” took its name from the previous European model. The European Uno was also built in Brazil but was known locally instead as the “Mille”. For its successor Fiat Brazil decided to use the reuse Uno name.

The current Uno was launched in Brazil back in 2010 and has since received two light facelifts and now gets a readjusted entry level range for the Model Year 2019.

New Uno Attractive 1.0

This new version, priced at R$39.990, is equipped with the Fiat Brazil’s long-running Fire 1.0-lire 8-valve Flex engine. Focused on providing economy it still offers reduced maintenance values.

As standard, this version includes air conditioning, power steering, “Drive by Wire”, ESS, “Follow Me Home” and the HSD (High Safety Drive) level comprising of dual airbags (driver and passenger), ABS with EBD, “Lane Change” (auxiliary function for indicating track changes), headlights with black backing, height adjustable steering wheel and one touch front electric windows.

The Attractive version also comes with two optional packs: The “Visibility” kit adds rear wiper, washer and rear screen demister, while the “Connect” pack includes the same items as were previously available, namely pre-arrangement for sound (loudspeakers, tweeters and antenna), RDS integrated radio, USB/AUX input, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming function.

Novo Uno Drive 1.0

Equipped with the 1.0 Firefly 6-valve Flex engine, the Uno Drive MY2019 features colour coded door handles and mirrors, a black-finished exterior B-pillar cover and external mirrors with turn signal indicators.

This version, priced at R$42.990, features electric steering and the exclusive CITY function that adapts the electric steering during manoeuvres at low speeds to an even lower level of effort, HCSS (Cold start system without auxiliary gas tank), improved anti-lift wiper blades with Flat Blade technology and a textured front grille with grey accents as well as rear wiper, washer and demister.

It’s also possible for the customer to choose between three extensive package options for the Uno Drive 1.0.

First off, the “Comfort Plus” kit comes with one-touch rear side door electrically-operated windows, fog lights, front armrest, split rear seat, electric mirrors with tilt down function, 3-point retractable centre rear seatbelt, Hill Holder, ESC , ASR, height adjustable driver’s seat, extra seat linings; third rear seat headrest; inner door trims, sun visor on the driver’s side, sunglasses holder, retractable rear safety straps, console with flap opening positioned in the roof lining, magazine pockets on the back of the front seats, internal controls for opening the tailgate and fuel tank filler cap, footrest support for the driver and tyre pressure monitoring sensor.

Meanwhile, the “Connect Plus” kit adds remote control for opening/closing of the doors, anti-theft alarm, integrated radio with RDS panel, USB/AUX input, Bluetooth hands-free, audio streaming function, steering wheel with radio and phone controls, high-resolution TFT display with on-board computer and “My Car Fiat”.

Finally, there is also the “Live On Plus” package that includes knife-key with remote control for opening/closing of the doors, anti-theft alarm, high resolution TFT display with on-board computer, “My Car Fiat” and the exclusive “Fiat Live On” entertainment options.

Colours

Customers have as options solid colours in the form of “White Banchisa”, “Vulcan Black” and “Alpine Red” as well as white “Alaska Pearl” and metallic “Silver Bari” and “Gray Scandium”.

The Drive version can be optioned with a black roof when specified with either Alpine Red or Alaska White.

Customisation

Mopar offers an extensive range of ninety-six accessories for the Uno as well as two new items, “Mopar Economy” and “Michigan Mopar” radios. Mopar also offers the option of accessory combinations that complement each other and are offered with improved value.
