The Brazilian-built Fiat Toro is getting a new top of the range version, the Toro Ranch 2.0 Turbodiesel 4x4, which aims to give the pickup a more sophisticated presence with new exclusive features such as a brown leather interior as well as new visual detailing inside and outside.

Market leader in its segment on the Brazilian market, the Toro pickup, which first brought to Latin America’s biggest new car market the concept of the “SUP” (Sport Utility Pickup) combining robustness and comfort with technology and handling, gets a new version this month to sit alongside the existing “Volcano” trim level at the top of the range, the Toro Ranch 2.0 Turbodiesel 4x4 AT9. It’s focused on comfort, elegance, refinement and functionality.

The new version aims to combine the pickup’s core strength and bold design with exclusive new content such as brown leather seats. The exterior has a new “moon-silver” finish on the 18-inch light alloy wheels, the roof bars and the skid plate on the underside of the front bumper.

The mirrors, brake callipers, tow hook, roll hoops and door rubbing strips are all chromed while this version still includes a rear window protector, sill, front and rear wheel arch trim mouldings and fuel tank protection.

The interior of the vehicle gets a new brown leather seat trim with this version’s "Ranch" moniker embossed on the front backrest while the new name is also present on the carpets, the centre console and the front doors. The brown colour is still visible on the door and armrest panels and in the trims of the gear-lever cover, the handbrake and the steering wheel.

The new tone is also applied to the radio bezel, air vents and door handles. In addition, the interior has been darkened thanks to a new roof trim safety straps, sunglass holder, sunshade, internal lighting controls, bottom panel and console.

The Toro Ranch comes with a high level of standard equipment including dual zone air conditioning and multimedia centre with 5-inch touch screen, which includes voice commands, USB port, Bluetooth hands-free and GPS function and instrument panel with 7-inch TFT display. This screen features custom a welcome message, letter font and wallpaper all specific to the Toro Ranch trim level.

The Toro Ranch has as standard headlights with DRL (daytime safety LEDs), fog lights, rear armrest and a luggage compartment located beneath the passenger seat. The new version also comes as standard with rain sensor, rear camera, twilight sensor, internal electrochromic rear-view mirror and steering wheel controls, as well as an electrically adjustable driver's seat with eight available positions. Access to Toro Ranch is by Keyless enter'n'go (without using the key).

The new Toro Ranch has a single engine option, the 2.0 turbodiesel, which is combined with the 9-speed automatic transmission, unique among Brazilian market pickup trucks and four-wheel drive vehicles.

The Fiat Toro Ranch Diesel 4x4, which is targeted at customers looking for a both comfortable and strong vehicle, is being priced at R$ 149,990. Deliveries of the new model to the dealer network in Brazil will start next week.
