The fourth edition of Turin Auto Show Parco Valentino opens today, a well-received initiative to reinvent the former prestigious motor show, the core is now a static event on the boulevards of the beautiful Parco del Valentino that’s complemented by a series of innovative dynamic events. The fourth edition of Turin Auto Show Parco Valentino opens today, a well-received initiative to reinvent the former prestigious motor show, the core is now a static event on the boulevards of the beautiful Parco del Valentino that’s complemented by a series of innovative dynamic events.

More than forty brands will take part in this edition, namely Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Cupra, DR, Ferrari, Fiat, Honda, Hyundai, IED, Italdesign, Jaguar, Jeep, KIA, GFG Giugiaro, Lancia, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Pagani, Pininfarina, Porsche, SEAT, Skoda, Smart, Studiotorino, Suzuki, Tesla, UP Design, Volkswagen, Volvo, SPICE-X.

The biggest news for this edition is the involvement of the city of Turin, to create a“Widespread Auto Show” where squares and streets transform into meeting places for supercars, prototypes, one-offs and collection classic cars. The initiative aims to celebrate the passion for cars of private owners.

This edition offers several notable events including the exhibition of 40 exclusive prototypes by famous designers such as Pininfarina, Giugiaro, Bertone and Italdesign, exhibited all together for the first time. Italdesign will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an exhibition at Castello del Valentino Courtyard that lasts all five days of the event

The“Supercar Night Parade”will be led by car companies presidents, journalists and private collectors that will charm the centre of Turin on the evening of 6 June while the parade of “Gran Premio Parco Valentino” will take its participants up to Reggia di Venaria via a 40km route that takes in city centre and hills on the final day, this coming Sunday.

The Great Prototypes Exhibition

Turin Auto Show is an important occasion to see more than 40 exclusive prototypes, being exhibited all together for the first time in only one location, at Parco Valentino, the evocative natural frame of Turin.

Two exhibitions will be part of Parco Valentino 4th edition: the “Prototypes Exhibition which will include creations from Pininfarina, Giugiaro, Bertone, Italdesign, Spada, Stola, Touring Superleggera and Scaglione, located in a structure created in Parco Valentino, and the prototypes exhibited at Castello del Valentino Courtyard for Italdesign’s 50th anniversary

The 19 vehicles exhibited in the Viale Medaglie d'Oro are the Lancia Florida II, Sigma Grand Prix, Ferrari Mythos and Ferrari Sergio di Pininfarina; Techrules Ren, Corvair Testudo and Prototipo Sportivo Anni 60 by GFG; Lamborghini Miura, Lamborghini Countach, Alfa Romeo Bella and Bertone Birusa by Collezione Asi Bertone; Zonda HP Barchetta by Pagani; Alfa Romeo Brera and Volkswagen W12 by Italdesign; Dedica di Stola, Codatronca TS by Spada; Porsche Moncenisio byStudiotorino; Sci dipersia by Touring and Lancia Aurelia B53 di Scaglione.

Supercar Night Parade

The most awaited event is the Supercar Night Parade which is led by Presidents and CEOs of the exhibiting brands and representatives of the automotive world, that will close out the first day, today. As well as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Volkswagen Group representatives, other VIPs will include Giuseppe Bitti from KIA, Michele Crisci from Volvo, Fabrizio and Giorgetto Giugiaro, Pietro Innocenti from Porsche, Marco Reas from Mercedes-Benz, Simone Mattogno from Honda, Giancarlo Minardi, Massimo Nalli from Suzuki, Horacio Pagani, Roberto Pietrantonio from Mazda, Paolo Pininfarina, Andrea Pontremoli from Dallara, Sergio Solero from BMW, Alfredo and Mariapaola Stola from Studiotorino, Romano Valente from UNRAE and Piergiorgio Re from ACI Torino.

Gran Premio Parco Valentino

The most dynamic event of the Turin Auto Show is the “Gran Premio Parco Valentino”, which is being organised this year in collaboration with Aci Torino: private crews will start from Piazza Vittorio Veneto/Piazza Castello to arrive at Reggia di Venaria after passing through the streets of Turin centre (Via Roma, Piazza San Carlo, Piazza Castello, Via Po, Gran Madre bridge, Basilica di Superga). In Venaria, the parade will be welcomed by the musical band of the city and by the Municipal Police, that will convoy the cars in the pedestrian Via Mensa, up to the gates of the Savoy residence. Radio Montecarlo will broadcast the start and the arrival live.
