21.01.2004 NEW ENGINES IMPROVED SAFETY MORE OPTIONS AND A REVISED INTERIOR FOR THE FIAT DOBLO CARGO

ORIGINAL, UP-TO-DATE DESIGN AND STYLING

An original design that encloses a much bigger space than the exterior dimensions suggest. For this reason, no significant changes have been made to the style of the Fiat Doblò Cargo MY 2004 and it retains all the winning features of the previous model. Beginning with the roomy interior that, with the practicality and versatility, is an indispensable requirement for tradespeople who need to carry goods or equipment. Load compartment volume is one of the main reasons for buying a light commercial vehicle and Fiat Doblò Cargo MY 2004 customers can count on outstanding results for the segment: 3.2 m3 of effective volume that increase to 3.8 in the high top version.

This space is also fully usable because the load compartment offers easy access and is designed to accommodate the most diverse range of goods without problems - even the bulkiest boxes and packages.

The figures speak for themselves. The flat, regular floorpan is just 53 cm off the ground: this makes it much easier to lift and load heavy items. It is also simple to load bulky goods because the width between wheelarches is 120 centimetres. To carry pipes, ladders and other very long items in total safety, all you have to do is open the tubular partition that separates the passenger compartment from the load compartment and then fold up and pack away the front passenger seat to gain no fewer than 60 centimetres of interior length (from 168 to 228 centimetres).

The Doblò Cargo MY 2004 may be clad in one of the 11 available colours: 6 non-metallic and 5 metallic. Non-metallic shades are as follows: Titian Red, Carioca Yellow, Iceberg White, Capri Blue and the brand new colours Mundo Blue and Cedar Green. Metallic shades include Scilla Red, Theseus Blue, Steel Grey and the new colours Astral Blue and Opal Green. These shades are joined by more than 140 non-standard colours available for special conversions and fleets.

And so from the exterior to the interior. The Doblò Cargo MY 2004 offers interior seat and door panel trims with completely new designs and colours. The aesthetic appearance has been chosen with the aim of enhancing the sensation of space you feel as soon as you enter the vehicle.

The facia of the Doblò Cargo MY 2004 is also new, as revealed by a new colour scheme featuring dark grey at the top with an up-to-date, lively blue at the bottom. The facia includes a new instrument panel that can be distinguished from the previous version (still present on versions with 1.9 D and 1.6 Bifuel engine) by new graphics, a trip computer function, a digital multifunction display and a rev counter.

The instrument panel is analogue and equipped with rev counter, speedometer and fuel and coolant gauges. A two-row digital display in the centre displays a clock, milometer, follow-me-home function and headlight alignment correction. And more. From now on, all versions of the model can be fitted with a trip computer, a device that provides a set of useful information on the journey: miles travelled, fuel consumption and average speed, remaining range and journey time (from the start of the trip). Comprehensiveness, accuracy and easy-to-read information are the main features of the Fiat Doblò Cargo MY 2004's new instrument panel.
