Students on the Transportation Design course at the L'Instituto d'Arte Applicata e Design di Torino ( The Turin Institute of Applied Art and Design ) in Italy, recent presented their interpretations of the Sportwagon theme. They are currently exhibiting their works under the title "La Transportività Evoluta"  at Museo dell’Auto in Turin

The project aimed to expand the Sportwagon concept as an individual identity, creating a large "tourer" which would be easily identifiable as a Sportwagon. The vehicle had to have dimensions of between 4200-4500mm long and 1800mm wide, be front engined and rear wheel drive.

The models and drawings below are the work of Michele de Lillo, Fabio Minato, Giorgio Pirolo, Elad Balkan, Luca Giardino, Vincenzo Zaffuto, Max Patacchi and Simone Canepa.

The 3 year Transport Design course has grown in importance in recent years, with many manufacturers sponsoring the design projects. The ourse teachers are all well known names in automotive design, including: Giampiero Briguglio ( Carcerano ), Thomas Salzle ( Fiat Style Center ), Marino Vernetti ( Pininfarina Extra ), Mauro Basso ( Fiat Style Center ), Luciano D’Ambrosio ( Chief Designer Honda Style Center in Milan ), Sisto Cagnoli ( Fiat Style Center ), Fabrizio Pepe ( Pepe Virtual Models )
