Stars of the opening day of the 27th Bologna Motor Show were two Maserati Trofeo's and Michael Schumacher's F1 World Championship winning Ferrari F2002. Firstly Ferrari F1 test driver, Brazilian Luciano Burti and Ferrari's GT tester Andrea Bertolini, who drove in this years FIA N-GT Championship, provided formation demonstration runs in the Maserati Trofeo's.

The two Trofeo's, which will form part of an eight race series next year, were painted in the colours of the just announced series sponsor Vodafone. The two drivers demonstrated standing starts and pitstops during a ten lap display.

Luciano Burti then took out the Ferrari F2002 which Michael Schumacher drove this year to a fourth consecutive F1 constructor's title, to the delight of the Italian crowd in the packed grandstands.

Also taking part in the motorsport sessions were ten representatives from this years FIA European Touring Car Championship including Nicola Larini and Roberto Colciago in the Nordauto Alfa Romeo 156 GTA SuperTouring's which took both driver's and manufacturer's titles.

The unusual two seat Minardi-Asiatech Formula 1 car took passengers on demonstrations around the Bologna Show's temporary race circuit.
