of LamboCars.com offers a look at the forthcoming Lamborghini Gallardo
cabrio. Due as soon as late next year, it is targeted to go head to head
with the strong selling Ferrari 360 Spyder. With initial interest in the
Gallardo, which received its world premiere earlier this year at the Geneva
Motor Show, reportedly very strong, Lamborghini are "confident" that the
roofless version will attract serious interest.
The larger Murcielago roadster,
which was premiered in January at the Detroit Motor Show, will hit production
next spring giving Lamborghini open versions of both their current models.
The open topped Gallardo is expected to see only a minimal drop in performance
with around 500bhp ( 510 Nm ) still being pumped from its 5.0-litre V10
engine. Maximum speed will be around 300km/h. |
