These spy photos show Alfa Romeo's new four wheel drive system which is currently under development and will be rolled out across the range as the marque's rebirth continues to work towards higher performance models coupled with improved handling and roadholding characteristics.
Immediately noticeable is
that this Alfa 156 Sportwagon test car has a raised ride height allowing
the rear differential to be visually identified. Tape on both the front
and rear wheelarches identifies the repositioned suspension mounting points.
