04.08.2003  STUDENTS OF IAAD PRESENT LANCIA-SPONSORED 'HPE: A NEW CONCEPT IN LUXURY'

LANCIA “EFFUSIOR” represents a new concept of vehicle derived from the fusion of two typologies of car: SUV and coupè, these two get together creating a car of generous dimension (almost 3 metres long), but lightened by a slender volumeter, characterized by elegant lines and at the same time sporting. 

The typical coupè shape is put in evidence, lifting it from the ground, creating a compromise between automobile and off-road; this characteristics make of it a unique vehicle in its genre, able to give to its possessor exclusivity and elegance on each type of ground, city, extraurban course and off-road. The wide windows allows better visibility and creates on the side a tight arc that ends on the posterior post that is quite evident, whose function is to incorporate the glass central volume, included vertically on the posterior. 

The interiors are to be lived like the home living room, they give a feeling of comfort, thanks to the seats in which the back rest are continuous with door panels up to the anterior post. The original and innovative element is the glass floor, at night lights a suffused blue light (can be changed according to the atmosphere wanted by the occupants). At the same time the floor works as a big display that projects images and useful information. By throwing down of the board a living space is created thanks also to the wheel of Drive by Wire technology, that comes out only when necessary from the zone of the central tunnel. In the luggage compartment there is the possibility of putting the luggage easily thanks to the lowered posterior. Moreover the sliding glass ceiling was thought for bigger loads that stand out such as snowboard, surfboard, etc.
