Frankfurt IAA

17.09.2005 The two new models are being presented in Frankfurt this week by Maserati - the Quattroporte Executive GT and the Quattroporte Sport GT

Maserati have presented its latest creations at the 61st Frankfurt Motor Show this week. The Trident company, on the back of recent commercial and sporting success, is displaying models that are - as ever - singular expressions of its high traditions. Exclusivity and sportiness are the values that for ninety years have distinguished Trident creations. These attributes are perfectly embodied in its flagship model, the Quattroporte. The stand has once again been conceived so that the cars can be viewed as pieces of art. Right the foreground - taking up pride of place - are the two new versions of the Quattroporte, the Executive GT (finished in Blu Nettuno) and the Sport GT (finished Grigio Touring and Nero Carbonio). The two sandwich a third Quattroporte model, emphasising the importance the super luxury sporting saloon to the Trident brand.

Situated in the centre of the stand on an eye-catching gold platform is the Quattroporte range. The two new models presented at this Frankfurt Motorshow are the Quattroporte Executive GT and the Quattroporte Sport GT. Unveiled to the public at the Frankfurt motorshow in 2003, the Trident flagship owes its amazing international success to the sweeping lines majestically designed by Pininfarina. Owing to this success, Maserati has developed the dual soul of the Quattroporte with these two new versions. They will be available from the beginning of 2006 and will further widen the range on offer to clients.

QUATTROPORTE EXECUTIVE GT

The Quattroporte Executive GT is the Italian flagship in the purest form. It is the full expression of elegant design and features lateral grilles and 19” wheel rims. An exterior identification plate appears on the model, one in which comfort levels are at their highest and most exclusive.

The Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT was created in order to meet the demands of those clients who desired greater performance and sportiness from the Trident's flagship  car

Among the features that enhance the interior of the Executive GT is the comfort pack of rear seats which offer heating, ventilation and massage. The seat and reach can be electronically adjusted and the stowable rear tables are made from the same refined woods as the interior. The cabin roof is lined in exquisite Alcantara. The steering wheel is in wood and leather and the air conditioning control panel can be operated from the rear seats.

QUATTROPORTE SPORT GT

The Quattroporte Sport GT was created in order to meet the demands of those clients who desired greater performance and sportiness from the flagship. The car has brand new sporting 20-inch wheels, swages of carbon fiber in the interior, racing pedals. The echoes of Maserati tradition are evident in the aggressive black colouring of the grille and the side air vents. The front end benefits from red prongs, typical of competition cars from the past and of also the Sport GTs, a name that appears on a plate mounted on the side of the vehicle. From a technical point of view, it is the gearbox that has seen the most changes. By activating the ‘Sport’ function, gear changes become much quicker (on average by more than 35%). This is thanks to an ultra-modern system of electronic actuation. The Skyhook suspension system has a dedicated set up for the Sport GT. At high revs the V8 installed in the Quattroporte GranSport GT gives off a more intense sound. This is due to the configuration of the exhaust system.
