The great strength of the New Fiat Strada lies in a generous rear box that measures 1770 mm in length (1472 in versions with long cabins) and 1314 mm in width (1090 mm between wheelarches) while offering a capacity of 1100 litres in the standard version and 800 litres in the version with long cabin. The capacious compartment can be used to the full due to its regular shape and comes with a black plastic lining that can withstand freezing temperatures and also the highest temperatures. 

The box borders and base are fitted with sturdy hooks that are arranged to ensure they do not get in the way of loading and unloading operations. These can be used to secure transported goods in maximum safety. The sides, also fitted with hooks, are protected by a tough polypropylene lining that safeguards the vehicle from scratches and dents. 

Load compartment access is made easier by reduced box ground clearance (605 mm) and also the presence of a flap that opens to 90°, comes with a non-slip surface and can support a weight of 300 kg.

The New Fiat Strada may be fitted as an option with a sturdy marine hood to protect the load. This extends to the side and performs a functional and aesthetic role.
