27.01.2003  THOUSANDS ATTEND GIANNI AGNELLI'S FUNERAL IN TURIN


Thousands of mourners attended the funeral of Fiat Patriach, Gianni Agnelli, in Turin yesterday. The service which was officiated by the Catholic Archbishop of Turin, Severino Poletto, included Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and President of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi among the mourners.

The entire Fiat Group and its employees were deeply upset and profoundly saddened by the news of Giovanni Agnelli’s death today. For over fifty years, Agnelli was the guiding light of the Company, making it the most important Italian industrial group in Europe and the world.

At every moment in the development of Fiat, during times of both prosperity and adversity, Giovanni Agnelli was a constant source of enlightened guidance. In every situation, he always kept the needs and problems of the men and women of Fiat in the highest regard.

> 24.01.2003  FIAT GROUP RELEASE:  AVOCAATO AGNELLI'S LYING IN STATE & FUNERAL

The body of Avvocato Giovanni Agnelli will lie-in-state on Saturday, January 25, 2003 from 10:00 a.m., at the Lingotto Pinacoteca. 

The Rosary will be prayed at the hall of the Pinacoteca, at 6:00 p.m.

The funeral ceremony will be held at the Cathedral of Turin on Sunday, January 26 at 10:30 a.m., with Turin’s Archbishop Severino Poletto officiating.
