19.11.2003 CLOSE UP LOOK AT THE FACELIFTED FIAT PALIO AS IT GOES ON SALE IN BRAZIL

The facelifted Fiat Palio has gone on sale in Brazil, with the new model being seen close up for the first time. The front and rear ends boldly have been restyled, led more prominent and aggressive headlamps and bumpers, while the interior has also been made over.

The revised Palio features new comfort, functionality and security options. Some of them were previously unheard in the compact class in Brazil, for example the 'My Car' Palio, where the customer can personalize some functions of its car; CD and MP3 player, side air-bags.

The engine line-up consists three powertrains: 1.0 Fire, 1.3 Fire Flex and the 103 bhp 1.8 liter. The 1.0 Fire which is capable of 65 bhp has been updated, while the 1.3 Fire which is equipped with a Flex system allowing both petrol and alcohol fuel is new.
