Fabrizio Giovanardi extended his championship lead with two wins in closely contested races. Nicola Larini claimed the final podium slot in both races to hang onto second place in the championship.

Fabrizio Giovanardi on his way to winning both races at BrnoGiovanardi rounded off a clean sweep at Brno, winning the second race ahead of Dirk Muller again, with team mate Larini third once again bringing his understeering car home third.
